Custom-made suspenders
Reminiscent of the industrial 1900´s, our suspenders are utalitarian and sturdy.
The four buttons in the front, coupled with strong leather strings, woven rubber band fabrics from Italy and strategic positioning of buttons, allow for a comfortable form-it. Jörg found this principle in an old photo from factory workers in the early 1900s. Note how the leather strings in the front distribute the load over front and sides. The suspenders just sit better that way. These sturdy suspenders feature a good force distribution, as they are hold by two buttons in the back and four buttons in the front, wider apart - with less side bulging of the pants. The strings are hold in an iron piece each over the belly that we forge - it holds the strings safe on the rubber fabric but also gives more flexibility if you bend sideways.
No clips for fixing the suspendes to the pants, rather leader bands with buton holes - as we believe they do not hold well once you wear more sturdy pants. You will need to sow or rivet your suspender buttons to the right place on your pants, though. Buttons are not included, as they should fit in color or material to your pants; you would need six. Our recommendation is to sow sturdy buttons to your pants, these riveted buttons that are available to replace ripped off front buttons on jeans often do not hold well.
Rubber fabric bands that are used for suspenders are generally subject to wear and tear and will age. That can not be changed; but the most load on a typical suspender goes to the single band between shoulder y-piece and the lower back buttons. Our suspenders feature a double rubber band on this part - so that the most critical part of the suspender lasts longer, doing the math probably double the time.
