ECHT Journeyman Jeans - 25oz Moleskin Selvage, Six-Pockets

Rugged jeans developed by Peter and Jörg from surprisingly sturdy cotton with exceptional crafting. Straight leg, low waist cut; comes in various colors.

Peter specializes in custom made work pants, made in his shop in Bavaria, Germany. For our Jeans, Jörg wanted the most sturdy cotton and we found one of the last guild clothing fabric weaver in Germany. The 25oz per square yard fabric is made of 100% cotton. Do not mix up with denim, where decent quality lies around 14-18oz. This heavy fabric, also called moleskin, is valued by German craftsmen since centuries as it weathers years of hard labor. Probably the sturdiest fabric you will ever find. We cut the fabric "selvage", so that the woven seam is visible inside the legs.

Peter will custom make this Journeyman Jeans for you, with many practical features - using measurements according to your individual specifications. Peters guild clothing family business was founded in 1927, he is one of the last specialists in hand crafted work gear that specialize in traditional German guild clothing. For crafting with this dense fabric, Peter uses his traditional Pfaff leather sewing machines; for the leather reinforcements around the pockets a Duerkopp-Adler.

The extra heavy 25oz cotton gets and the a non restrictive cut gets you through tough jobs. Because the fabric is so thick, the jeans will get into the shape of your body. To translate your measurements for the ECHT custom-made service, CAD software and a plotter help, and also enable reproducibility of individual custom work should you be interested i follow-up orders.

Check the well crafted and useful features. With many reinforcements, to make them long lasting. Tough belt loops, almost indestructible, a belt loop won´t come un-looped and keeps pants from gaping. Extra deep and strong pockets, with leather reinforcements at the opening. For convenience we add a phone pocket on the side and a coin pocket. All pockets are well thought out but they do not stick out to much and are not baggy. The crouch area is wide for comfort and features small hidden vents that are reinforced and covered from the inside for better air exchange, not offering views. Reinforced waistband. The the reinforced knees enable an anatomical cut that is rather comfy around the legs and adds to sturdiness. So does the extra reinforcement over the glutes.

A stand-by pair of jeans that you won´t let go after you break them in. Consider wearing them as utilitarian clothing versus fashion: washing as seldom as possible, repairing and wearing them as long as you can. For this approach we offer repair service for you. You break them in, your wear them for years, we can repair them for you and even re-sell the ones that you do not need anymore.

As they are custom made, your name and the edition serial number information will be embroidered in the inside and you will receive a specific signed certificate from Peter.

Wash cold and do not use a dryer. Refrain from washing to often, brush them and keep them hanging in fresh air over night.
